1. What we collect

We collect the following kinds of information:

  • Contact and business details you give us, such as your name, company name, business email address, phone number and role.
  • Freight information you provide when using our tools or requesting a quote or audit, such as shipping lanes, consignment sizes and volumes, current freight rates and freight invoice details.
  • Information you provide when you fill in a lead form on Facebook or Instagram, such as your contact details and your answers to qualifying questions.
  • Technical and usage information collected automatically when you visit our websites, such as your IP address, device and browser type, and the pages you view. Some of this is collected through cookies and similar technologies.

2. How we collect it

  • Directly from you, when you fill in a form on our websites, use our quoting or audit tools, call us on 1300 893 240, or email us.
  • Through Meta (Facebook and Instagram) when you submit one of our lead forms on those platforms. Meta provides us with the information you enter on the form.
  • Automatically, through cookies and tracking tools on our websites, including the Meta Pixel and Google analytics tools.

3. How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiry and provide the service you asked for, such as a freight quote, a freight invoice audit or a rate review.
  • To operate, improve and secure our websites and tools.
  • To contact you about our services, including by phone, email or SMS, where you have asked us to or would reasonably expect us to.
  • To show you relevant advertising and measure how well our advertising works.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

4. Advertising, cookies and analytics

Our websites use the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. It helps us understand how visitors use our site, measure the results of our advertising, and show relevant DFH ads to people who have visited our site when they later use Facebook or Instagram (sometimes called retargeting). The Meta Pixel may set cookies and collects technical information about your visit. The information is shared with Meta and handled under Meta's own privacy policy.

We may also use Google analytics and advertising tools, which work in a similar way and are governed by Google's privacy policy.

You can adjust your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account settings, block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and use Google's ad settings and opt-out tools. If you disable cookies, our websites will still work, but some features may be less tailored to you.

5. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers who help us run our business, such as website hosting, IT, CRM, email and analytics providers, and advertising platforms such as Meta and Google.
  • Freight carriers and logistics partners, only to the extent needed to prepare or fulfil a quote or service you have asked for.
  • Professional advisers, and government bodies or regulators where the law requires it.

6. Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers, including Meta and Google, store and process information on servers located outside Australia, including in the United States. Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

7. Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law, and then take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

8. Access, correction and complaints

You may ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time.

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first and we will do our best to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
